About the Metropolitan Board of the Chicago Urban League

The Metropolitan Board of the Chicago Urban League (MetroBoard) is an auxiliary of the Chicago Urban League and a chapter of the National Urban League Young Professionals. Founded in 1983, by John W. Rogers of Ariel Capital Management and James Compton, MetroBoard identifies and develops the leadership potential of African-American young professionals. Since its inception, the MetroBoard has grown to become a diverse, and award winning chapter, working collaboratively to support the mission of the 99 year-old Chicago Urban League.
